Tomorrow is Sinterklaas' birthday and tonight he will visit all of the children in Belgium and bring them toys. The carrots and sugar lumps have been placed with great care in Austin and Erika's shoes. They just can't wait for Zwarte Piet to come down the chimney tonight and get them for the Sint's white horse and then he will bring gifts for them. After they set out their shoes, they sang some Sinterklaas songs and decorated the living room with the things that they have made for this special Belgian holiday. It was really fun to see them get so excited.


Today Austin came home from pre-school with his steam boat that the Sint and Zwarte Piet ride from Spain on. He was so proud of it. I think he did a great job!
